Hi, I have an old iMac mid 2007 running Leopard 10.5.8 and I upgraded the RAM to 4GB from 1GB.
Install El Capitan On Old Mac
- The installation process of mac os el Capitan includes two methods. The first method is termed as an upgrade install, also known as the default method. The second method is known as a clean install. Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 DMG Install and Download. Upgrade install-Follow to below steps-Visit the Mac App Store. Locate the OS X El Capitan Page.
- OS X Yosemite on Unsupported Macs OS X Hackers macOS Extractor and MacPostFactor are apps that guide you through patching and installing macOS Sierra (10.12), OS X El Capitan (10.11), Yosemite (10.10), Mavericks(10.9), or Mountain Lion (10.8) on your older Mac.
I tried to install a new copy (clean install from USB booting) but can't do that.
In this video we will be showing you how you can revive your old mac and install a newer operating system. Links: MacPostFactor: https://drive.google.com/fi.
I've done the following steps:
- I created an USB bootable El Capitan installer
- I booted from USB
- I erased all the HDD content and I created a new partition
- tried to Install but I got this error: 'OS X could not be installed on your computer. No packages were eligible for install.'
I don't know what can I do at this point.
