If you're using Windows and you've installed a Fujitsu driver, VueScan's built-in drivers won't conflict with this. If you haven't installed a Windows driver for this scanner, VueScan will. The ScanSnap scanner and the bundled software is by far my most valuable and used piece of office equipment I own. I only have 2 employees, but we each have a scanner and we use it every day. We scan everything. I recommend this scanner to everybody I know. It's super simple to use and file everything. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Windows

This scanner driver is required to scan documents with the ScanSnap. Also, this is a desktop application for editing, managing, and utilizing content data records more efficiently. Scanned images can be saved as PDF or JPEG files to a computer.

Also, files other than the images created by scanning documents with the ScanSnap can be imported into ScanSnap Home as the content data records.

This is an application that checks the latest updates and available software programs on the download server, and installs them.

Checking the latest updates and checking available software programs are performed automatically and regularly on the download server and a notification appears if they are available.

ScanSnap Online Update is installed together with ScanSnap Home.

This application can perform text recognition on the scanned images using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert the image data into Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files that can be edited.

Install ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap from ScanSnap Online Update after ScanSnap Home is installed.

Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home and select [Help] in the menu → [Online Update] → [Check for updates] to run ScanSnap Online Update.

The OCR Pack is a set of languages that can be used to recognize text. By installing the OCR Pack, you can add extra languages to recognize text.

This is an application for creating, editing, managing, and utilizing PDF format electronic documents.

To install Kofax Power PDF Standard, access the URL that is printed in the license certificate supplied with the ScanSnap and download the installer from the website.

To install Kofax Power PDF Standard or Nuance Power PDF Standard, access the URL that is printed in the license certificate supplied with the ScanSnap and download the installer from the website.
